This is the kindergarten project that we completed for the Kids Kreations fundraiser project. I talked about texture with the students and we looked at pictures of panda bears. We talked about where in the pictures of a panda bear were hard and soft, and decided that we could show hard and soft texture in paper through cutting and ripping. I demonstrated how to tear paper for each piece of the body. They glued it all together, and then they cut orange and green paper for the carrots and bamboo that pandas eat! We finished up the class looking at panda bears and then watching a panda bear eat on the San Diego Zoo’s Panda Cam! So cute!
Here are their sweet little pandas!
