1st grade Robots

Robots really are a fun thing to draw. And when little kids realize how easy it is to draw them, it makes it even more fun. We show the students that robots are simply drawn from basic shapes – squares, triangles, rectangles, etc and the kids have so much confidence! Because yes of course they can already draw all those things!!

So week 1, students drew and painting their robots. They painted their robots with metallic paint! The next week when the paint was dry they redrew all the original lines with a black crayon and then they had their creative freedom to add other details. We showed them how to draw the moon and rocket ships if they wanted. These turned out so great!!

Hope you’re having an awesome weekend!!
