Look what we made! In Kindergarten, we read the book “Harold and the Purple Crayon” (I partially wished the Media Center didn’t have a copy so I would be forced to buy it and could read it to my kids at home! But the Media Center did indeed have a copy…) and then we talked about different types of LINES. How line is an element of art and how artists use lines in their artwork. Since Harold went on a walk with his purple crayon, we decided we would go on a magic carpet ride with our purple crayons. We practiced drawing different types of lines, then we did a really good just gluing strips of paper. The next week we learned how to cut fringe to look like the edges of the rug, decorated Harold and another figure for ourselves! Look how amazing they turned out!
